Assistant Teacher Training Program (ATTP)Are you a dancer who loves working with kids, naturally steps into a leadership role, and dreams of one day teaching dance? Our Assistant Teacher Training Program (ATTP) is the perfect opportunity to take that first step into the world of dance education.
We’re proud to offer a program that blends mentorship, leadership training, and real classroom experience to help young dancers grow into confident, capable assistant coaches. This hands-on training workshop will introduce you to the core values of being a dance educator—like patience, communication, class management, and spotting technique—while also giving you the tools to thrive in a studio setting.
🌟 Our 2025 Workshop Details:
Date: Monday, August 11th
Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
Cost: $30 (includes updated training PDFs)
Location: Caledonia Studio of Dance
Registration is required to be considered for a placement.
This workshop is mandatory for all dancers interested in becoming assistants during the upcoming season. Even if you’ve taken ATTP in the past, you're welcome to join us again—returning dancers may also choose to purchase just the updated training PDFs.
Participation in the workshop does not guarantee an assistant placement, as spaces are limited and based on studio needs, age, and readiness. However, every participant will walk away with valuable leadership tools and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a great coach and role model.
Who Can Apply? Dancers ages 9 and up who show a natural enthusiasm for helping others, have a positive attitude, and are excited to grow as leaders within our studio community.
This is more than just a training, it’s a chance to grow, give back, and shine as a part of our teaching team. We can’t wait to mentor the next generation of dance educators.
